I know it happens in RL, but I won't read about it.

I'm not fond of the manly-man/girly-man I'm helpless stories.Amienoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3205240430255489119.post-44703764560529945532009-09-03T02:24:59.625-04:002009-09-03T02:24:59.625-04:00Word to that! I hope they don't have that trouble in RL! :-SMaia Stronghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08352482028469213261noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3205240430255489119.post-68594497645839242642009-09-02T14:05:38.744-04:002009-09-02T14:05:38.744-04:00There's not much I don't care for. Okay, in general that "we'll get beat up if anyone finds out we're gay" theme annoys me.

But insta-love drives me around the bend. Yes, you can fall in lust in 4.3 seconds, easy peasy but love? Come on. How do you know the guy isn't a disgusting slobby hoarder who kills kittens for fun? You're in a bar or having sex in a back alley, you CAN NOT BE IN LOVE! I can live with it in a paranormal setting to a point but just in general? Nope, sorry, doesn't work.

But that's also something you can't tell from a blurb. It can happen in any story in any context and until it hits you in the face you don't know it's coming.Tamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15495571402942021799noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3205240430255489119.post-59975703544513460342009-09-02T10:47:00.042-04:002009-09-02T10:47:00.042-04:00Oo! The stakes are automatically so high, it can be a great ride.Maia Stronghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08352482028469213261noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3205240430255489119.post-1995078429079785732009-09-02T09:28:50.038-04:002009-09-02T09:28:50.038-04:00It's funny how much we are all on the same wav...It's funny how much we are all on the same wavelength because I was just thinking about how I dismiss a setting or formula in my head and then end up loving the book. Of course, a good writer can make me love anything. I have an obvious passion for reunion romances, but I also love the forbidden fruit and the fling to something more, and the forced together under extreme circumstances.K.A.
