Another Los Angeles Moment

There are things you can only do because you're in Los Angeles. One of them, which I did this week, was get to attend the season three red carpet premier of Dante's Cove. Now, granted, it wasn't at the Kodak Theater with a red carpet a mile long, but it was fun. And there was a red carpet. There were stars and press and directors.

I met Director Randal Kleiser of Grease Fame. Cassandra Peterson, who mortals know as Elvira Mistress of the Dark, was there (beautiful woman btw). Tracey Scoggins, Gregory Michael and Jenny Shimizu model and actress. Sat behind Chad Allen and right next to Charlie David (who plays Toby on Dante's Cove).

The show itself...well, it's a GLBT soap opera along the Twin Peaks model. Really it is, supernatural stuff and romance angst...and sex. Soft core sex but on screen. So, be prepared. Lots of eyecandy. Sexy men and women, one bisexual character -Griff (Jensen Atwood, of Noah's Ark fame) - abound. The only full frontal you'll get is from the extras, but hey they pick nice looking extras. Plot wise, acting wise, meh.

I aslo got to attend the after party. Not many of the actual cast there (they probably had thier own little parties). Crowded as all hell. Two couples (female) were bitching about the line at the bar. A guy turned around and told them that they were in a Gay bar, women get no priorty, it's everyone for themselves. Pretty much summed it up. Picked up our goodie bags with the Dante's Cove briefs in 'em and bailed over to the Abbey for a bit.

How fun! I've never watched the show, can't say as I've even heard of it, but I'll have to check it out.

It was fun, Sabrina. And Amanda you should. Also check out The Lair which is a "spin off" of sorts. A resort for gay men inhabited by vampires. And Colton Ford (mmmmmm, Colton) is the town Sheriff.
