Zoinks...! Less than two weeks before Comic Con!

I've been in crunch mode for the past few weeks--rather, in a crunchier mode than usual!--when it hit me today: there is less than two weeks before Comic Con. Eeeeee! I'm excited as hell to be there this year since there's been a lot of cool stuff happening in the industry, and there are tons of cool panels I can't wait to check out. I'll also have a table in Artists' Alley, so if anyone else is attending the con, I hope you'll drop by. Click here the map and artist listing: http://www.comic-con.org/cci/cci_artalley.php

Getting into the spirit of things, I've been updating my DA page with recent illustrations and stuff. Even when I'm drawing comic book guys, I can't resist the urge to make 'em pretty. :o)

Ahem.

Hey!

We used to have this cute song at summer camp that we sang before announcements, but it's the kind of thing that's mostly only cute at summer camp and even if I was tech savvy enough to imbed a recording of me singing it, my voice would make you all flee before I could get to the announcements.

First of all, for anyone in the capital area of Albany, NY I'm going to be at the NY Library Association's Book Festival at the Empire State Plaza in Albany this Saturday (April 2). This link takes you to the website and a little map. It's open to the public and free to attend, and there will be lots of stuff there for book lovers. I recommend parking in the underground garage (it's worth the $5) Leave yourself some extra time, because although it's easy to get to, the Plaza was designed in the age when we wanted everything to look so symmetrical it's disorienting once you're out of the car. Did we pass that modern art painting before?

In addition to the total coolness of seeing me—and many more famous authors—there are panels on many topics. I'm involved in one called "Writing Under the Covers" which is scheduled at 12:45 so feel free to show up and ask me embarrassing or interesting questions.

And for the very shiny news: My June release has a gorgeous cover.
That's Kellan in front and Nate in back. Best of all, after you fall in love with them in Bad Company you'll get to hang out with them—and their friend Eli in Bad Boyfriend which will release in December. I love these books and can't wait to share them with everyone. They've been a lot of fun to write. Okay, I'm back to torturing Quinn so Eli can make it up to him. Hope to see you Saturday.

Oh, art is indeed the joie de viere!

...even more so when the subject matter is the beauty of the male form! Add a dash of fantasy to the mix and it's completely, totally, undeniably *yum*. :o) I'm excited to announce that I'll have a couple of pieces in the new edition of Erotic Fantasy Art, due out later in the year. Hopefully in time for San Diego Comic Con, where *drumroll please* it looks like I'll be holding court in Artists Alley. I'll share more info as it comes, but I hope I'll get the chance to see some of you there this year!

What I've been up to lately...

Hello guys and gals. I know I haven't been nearly as chatty as I normally am, here on the blog and elsewhere. Want to know why? Cause I've been a busy little smut writer.

No, I actually haven't been waxing poetically about butt-sex lately, although I am slowly but surely working on the fourth and final installment of my Reckless series. Instead, I've been out and about doing public events.

In the last two weeks, I've done The Crucible in Washington DC (with Beth Wylde and DL King) and Roanoke's Pride in the Park(with JM Snyder and Vincent Diamond). On the 26th I'll be at Durham's Pridefest, along with Beth Wylde and Vincent Diamond. I may be an introvert by nature, but even I enjoy coming out of my hidey-hole occasionally.

Below are some pictures for you. :D

From left to right: Andy Eisenberg, Marguerite Labbe, and Beth Wylde. While we didn't all share a table, it was lovely to have some extra author company at Pride this year.

From left to right: JM Snyder, Vincent Diamond, John (my hubby), and me. Check out the 'fro I was sporting. Rain + curly hair = disaster.

Me in DC, all dressed up for the play party hosted by The Crucible last Saturday night.

Beth Wydle and me the day of the Leather Fleamarket at The Crucible. Could my face have been any more shiny? I think not.

Come and see me this month!

September is going to be an extremely busy month for me this year. Rather than blast you with multiple posts about where I am and what I'm doing, I thought I would consolidate all of my events this month into one handy-dandy blog for you. Below you'll find a list of what I have planned, as well as links to each event. Feel free to email me if you have any questions or need additional information.

On September 12th I will be at The Crucible in DC for the fetish fleamarket, from 11am-6pm, as well as the play party held later that evening from 8pm-2am. Authors Beth Wylde and DL King will be there as well. For times, cost, directions and more details visit:

On September 20th I'll be at Pride in the Park in Roanoke, Virginia from 11am-6pm. This year I'll be sharing space with Vincent Diamond and JM Snyder. For more info on location, times and more visit their website at: http://www.roanokepride.com/pride-20.html

On September 26th I'll be at Durham's Pridefest from 10am-5pm, along with authors Beth Wilde and Vincent Diamond. For more info please visit their website: http://www.ncpride.org/pride/

For the moment, I think that's about it for me. As if that isn't enough for one month, right? I hope if any of you are in the areas mention above that you'll stop by and say hello.

Weekend Smut Bunnies

Wow, I've actually prepared a post in advance. Go me. And this one is not complete randomness...but randomness with pictures.

So this past weekend I spent up in the bay area. Met a bunch of awsome people, had a lot of fun.

First off, YaoiCon. This is the convention for Yaoi and M/M romance does well there. Sold lots of books. Saw lots of guys … well, see for yourself. It's fun and insane. We did a panel on where to find M/M romance that readers of Yaoi would enjoy. I bought naughty art by a guy named Brian C. Mitchell (http://www.roughcanvas.com/) the human torch with a flaming cock…yah baby. "Heat Wave" and "Hard as Adamantium" you can find them under Artwork in the fan gallery.

Bishi auctions and dances and more cosplay than you can shake a stick at. Really, it's a fun con and run well. I managed to not over buy.

Then Sunday, we took off for Folsom Street Fair. Want to know what to do for a kick. Head to an erotic leather even with 4 erotic authors and the poor reviewer we hijacked for her car. BWHAHAHAHA. The pictures speak for themselves. And these are the NC17 ones. There's better by far roaming around. You can bet this is showing up in my stories.

And I did actually hear someone say "ass-less chaps." Almost smacked them. A random guy owned by a nice Bear asked if I thought he should wear a kilt or a straight jacket...both, in matching canvas for durablity or leather for fun. Got flashed by the Goth boi in a kilt. Yum. Peircings and tats abounded. Gals with their tits hanging out. More importantly, guys with thier junk hanging out. Santa Bear flogging passers by.
Public spankings, whacking off in the street, blowjobs: its all there in one great spectical. There is so much going on it's not possible to process it all. Ran into a gentleman selling corsets who'd been at YaoiCon the previous day. We all felt much more sane on Folsom.

Went over to Castro for a drink (which we never got, btw) and I convinced JL Langely to buy The Man Who Fell In Love With the Moon. Someday, I'll get around to writing a review of that. Standing out in front of the "toy" store got my butt grabbed by one of a really cute couple.

Great weekend. I'm still recovering.

And I must go back next year!
