Holiday Contest Blitz continues!
I'm feeling so jazzed for the holidays! It's finally nice and chilly in my neck of the woods and Starbucks has their special mint-mocha-latte's on sale...Mmm! What are you looking forward to the most this holiday? Is it a special gift under the tree? Some downtime with the family? A special service at your church or synagogue? I hope you'll share it with us! Everyone who posts will be entered in a contest to receive a copy of a holiday story, either Pawprints: Giving & Taking or Winter Song, co-written with the awesome and lovely Barb Sheridan. The contest closes tomorrow at noon CST, so enter today!

I wish it was cold here in Florida. It's nothing but heat! Grrr. lol.. I'm looking forward to the days off work with lots of lazying around! lol. Happy Holidays
SUN!!!! We're going into summer here. Apparently! Today it is blowing a gale and taking all the heads off my roses. Grrrrr.
Looking forward to work finishing and being able to sleep in. :)
I keep wishing for a white Christmas. We usually end up on White Sand Beach, lol. Eh, holding out for 2012, when it might could possibly snow here.
It's been in the teens here. I really don't like the cold, but 'tis the season. lol
I'm looking forward to seeing my son's face when he opens the gift he wants most.
I'm looking forward to spending time with my Mum... hanging out...watching some movies...relaxing... *keeping my fingers crossed for an ereader* :)
Happy Holidays

@mishkismom: I have a friend who ADORES her Keurig! If I had one of those puppies, I'd be sipping a mocha coffee right now too. It sounds soooo yummy!
@n.c.jenks: You and Emmy and Sharrow get to enjoy sunny holidays. :D And chillaxing for a few days without work is a fab way to spend Christmas!
@sharrow: Hey, Aussie girl! Sleeping in...*happy sighs*
@Emmy: Four words: Shaved ice, North Shore. Have some for me!
@Jambrea: Oooh! I want to ask what you got him! Does it start with a "W" and end with a "i" and have another "i" in middle? *heehee*
@s7anna: Those sound like great plans for the holiday, Anna!
Wow, I wish Ilived in Florida. We hve already had a snow day. For me this year, I wnat to enjoy time with my family. You never know who will be here next Christmas. I love your pawprint stories but have never readthe other one.

I'm going to take a few days off and visit some of my elderly relatives. Many are sickly or unable to get out the house, so plan to bring cookies, smiles, and spend some time with them.
I try to make this a yearly event. If I can't see them during the Christmas holidays then I take several days off around my birthday (in February) to visit them.
Thanks,

lol If you mean Wii...no, he has one of those. I got him a Zhu Zhu Hampster. Mr. Squiggles. I waited at Toys R Us in 10degree weather with the wind making it around -5 for 15 mins. lol There was a line started or I would have waited in the car. But...I got one and he is going to be SO happy because he told me...I just want ONE mom. Just one. So I can love it. lol And of course he had a favorite. I was afraid I would get there and they wouldn't have the one he wanted. I can't wait.
Freezing outside up here in Hamburg, PA. It's a good day for mint hot cocoa 8D.
I'm most looking forward to family & downtime over Christmas. I work at a facility for the mentally challenged & only get Christmas off every 4 years. This is my year!
Merry Christmas to all ;)

This will probably sound mean, but I'm looking forward to my daughter going to visit a friend between Christmas and New Years. I love her dearly of course but it will be nice to have a few days for just me to do what I want. I have to work but it will be really quiet and I don't have to rush home to cook dinner or do anything except relax and read some new books and have some quiet time for me.
@Debby: You're so right, m'dear--you never know what can happen so it's best to enjoy your loved ones as much as possible in the time we're given. *hugs*
@Tracey: That is a sweet and wonderful way to spend the holidays, Tracey! I think that's one of the best gifts you could ever give your relatives--letting them know you love and care about them!
@jambrea--Eeee, the zhuzhu hamsters!!! That's all the rage with kids this year and I can see why--those little things are adorable! Your son is so cute too--I like how he asked for just one, to love. Awww!
@Mindy: Oh! I actually do have packets of minty hot cocoa in the kitchen. You're inspiring me to head down there and make some. :D
@Tam: Bwahaha! That doesn't sound mean at all. No matter how much we love someone, sometimes it's nice to get a few moments of peace and quiet--you know, Me Time! *grins* Plus, I bet your daughter is going to have a blast spending time with her friend, so you both will have a great time. :D
It's my pleasure to announce two winners for the contest (I couldn't pick just one *g*):
