Howdy!
So I'm utterly startled that it's my day but when doesn't that happen? I'm zonked from work, yada, yada...but 'tis the season so I present ye with some stuffing for your stocking!
For my wee contest, all you have to do is post a comment telling me about how you spend your holidays. Whether its Christmas, Hanukkah, or the many other celebrations of the *many* other different religions, I want to know what you do with your family.
The winner will receive a free copy of my new release from Cobblestone, Just a Game. Remember to leave your email! The end date is the 19th, 4 PM EST.
Bon chance, Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah *deep breath* and Happy New Year's!
EDIT: So I know I originally said winner (singular) but I've decided to do winner(s) instead because two of the stories just made me smile so wide.
The winners are.....*drumroll* N.C. Jenks and booklover0226! Winners, I'll be emailing you with your copies in just a second. Thanks for playing everyone. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Normally I'll spend Christmas with family. That is, if they're around. Because two siblings (brother and a sister) are still in Hawaii, one brother and his family are in Houston, and I'm living with the other sister in LA. Though she'll be going with her boys to see her husbands parents this Christmas. Though I think our parents are supposed to fly in, we'll have an early Christmas here, then they'll fly out to Houston to be with my brother and his wife kids. Either way, i'm going to have a nice quiet few days all to myself with no 2 and 4 year olds running around. :D Can't wait.

I spend my holidays with my Mum...we hang out, watch movies, cook & bake together...just relax and catch up with each other.
Happy Holidays

It's become startlingly variable. This year, I'll probably spend Christmas Eve with my brother, SIL, and her family. Then we'll do our family thing on January 2.
I used to always spend Christmas going to a movie and out for Chinese food with a dear friend, but he got married and that stopped.
To be honest we don't do much. Christmas Eve my ex comes over and we hang out (weird I know but it works for us), then Christmas day we open gifts and eat and he leaves, then my daughter and I just hang out and play on-line or watch movies or do whatever we want. My daughter is going to a friend's out of town this year between Christmas and New Year's and I have to work so it will be very quiet and boring. But we're used to that so it's normal for us. We do have chocolate fondu on Christmas Eve, that's always yummy.
Christmas morning my in laws come in and I fix them breakfast. My son opens his presents and then we drive to my moms and spend the day with her.

We are very low key. We have a dinner with the whole family. Hubby's parents, sister, her two boys and my Mom. That is about it. Christmas day, Santa passes in my house and we (as a family) chill.
Merry Christmas to all!!!
I feel ya on the variable thing Chris. That's kinda what my life has become too. I mean, I have not spent Christmas in the same place two years running for.... Lesse....
2005 was Hawaii (where I grew up), 2006 was Reno, '07 was Orem Utah, '08 Was Houston, and '09 will be LA. Wow. Five years then almost. Though I think i'm gonna sneak in a trip to Disneyland Christmas day. A couple cousins where there one year, and said it was totally empty Christmas morning.
Me & hubs have a Christmas dinner with my aunt & uncle, niece & boyfriend and mother & stepfather and we share gifts, drink cocktails and play some games.
A merry Christmas!

Normally now that the kids are grown we wake up and go eat lunch with my family then travel to have dinner with my dh's family. This year has been far from normal. I am hoping to find out this afternoon if we will be having a normal Christmas day or if dh and I will be spending it at the rehab where he is learning to walk again.
My family is spread out all over. The 'rents are traveling to see THEIR 'rents, my sis is in Michigan and my bro is in JAPAN *too far*.
So, Christmas eve is just for me and the hottie to do whatever we want, usually stay in with the cozy fire and watch holiday movies.
Christmas morning is a breakfast of bacon and eggs etc... and by Christmas afternoon we are chilling at the hottie-in-laws with the puppies!

I normally spend Christmas at my grandparents. I go over in the morning to help with making dinner and then after we eat dinner, we open some Christmas presents and then eat pie and fruit. Then, we'd normally sit around the table playing Italian card games and cussing at each other because the other people are stealing our money. It's very fun. lol.

When I'm able to take some time off, I like to visit some of my elderly relatives who are unable to get out due to illness. They get a real kick out of the "surprise" visit!
Thanks,
